Cooking class – a Tour of Asia

Busy week last week!   Held my first private cooking class – a tour of Asia on Monday.  Forgot to take photos and don’t find the plastic leftover containers very attractive….

Hosted dinner for 20 Friday (please note – anyone who has a dinner party the night before their wedding needs their head examined.) and breakfast for the same 20 on Saturday.  More on that later.

The menu:

Salad Rolls with Spicy Peanut Sauce
Naan  with Garlic Sauce (this recipe was adapted from some sauce they have at my favorite Indian restaurant.  More Greek than Indian, but it’s fabulous with Naan and Samosas)
Tom Yum Soup
Chicken Curry
Pumpkin Ice Cream with Pecans and Gingersnap Crust (I had a can of pumpkin that had been staring me in the pantry for way too long)

Highlight of the class:

  • One of the participants was impressed with all my cook kitchen gadgets (herb scissors and tablespoon measure to name a few).
  • Nothing burned
  • People left stuffed
  • They said they would do it again.

So thanks again, guinea pigs.  Hope you had as good a time as I did.  I’ll post recipes in the next few days.
